Praying for Provisions

Jesus gives a third principle for prayer. Since God is our Father, He has bound Himself to provide for His children in a familial way. His Fatherhood is our confidence, and that is why we can petition Him. He may not always give us what we want, but He is a good Father Who promises to give us everything we need for faithfulness to Him. As such, while this principle is a request, it's also an affirmation of His promise to provide.
