Lead Us Not Into Temptation

In this final petition, Jesus teaches His disciples to pray for protection. It is a critical petition of the Christian life, especially in times of trial and temptation. For without the Father's protection, we should have no assurance of finishing our race. There is a precious promise with this final principle, but it is upon the Christian to ask for it.
